Balanced Scoring Powers EMU Past Bowling Green, 86–76

YPSILANTI, MI — December 30, 2025 — Eastern Michigan Eagles women’s basketball defeated Bowling Green, 86–76, at the George Gervin GameAbove Center. EMU was led by Chilean guard Fernanda Ovalle (#6), who scored a game-high 26 points to pace the Eagles in the victory.

YPSILANTI, MI — The Eastern Michigan Eagles women’s basketball closed out the calendar year with an 86–76 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons women’s basketball on Tuesday night at the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

Eastern Michigan was led by Chilean guard Fernanda Ovalle (#6), who poured in a game-high 26 points. Ovalle also controlled the glass, leading the Eagles with 10 rebounds to record a double-double and set the tone on both ends of the floor.

The Eagles showcased a balanced offensive attack throughout the contest. Peyton Hill (#23) finished with 22 points, while Sisi Eleko (#14) added 20 points. Spanish guard Ainhoa Cea (#7), chipped in 10 points and paced the team with six assists, helping keep the offense moving efficiently.

Bowling Green was led by Paige Kohler (#10), who scored 18 points, but the Falcons were unable to slow Eastern Michigan’s depth and scoring consistency.

With the win, Eastern Michigan continued to build momentum heading into conference play.
