LIV Golf has confirmed its return to Michigan for the Aramco LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship, set for August 27–30, 2026, at The Cardinal at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth. The announcement builds on the league’s successful 2025 Michigan debut, an event extensively covered by La Prensa Latina News Wire, with a focus on Latino athletes, teams, and global representation.
The 2025 championship showcased LIV Golf’s team-driven format and international flavor, headlined by Legion XIII’s dramatic playoff victory. Michigan fans embraced the blend of elite competition, music, and culture—helping cement the state as a key destination on LIV Golf’s global calendar.
Adding to the league’s growing Latino presence ahead of the 2026 season, Mexican star Abraham Ancer will join Torque GC, LIV Golf’s all–Latin American team. Ancer’s move strengthens Torque GC’s role as a standard-bearer for Latin American golf, joining a roster led by Chilean captain Joaquín Niemann alongside Colombia’s Sebastián Muñoz and Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz.
A two-time Olympian and one of Mexico’s most accomplished golfers, Ancer arrives after four seasons with Fireballs GC, where he earned multiple podium finishes and his first LIV Golf individual title. His transition underscores LIV Golf’s continued emphasis on cultural identity, team unity, and global reach—values reflected in Torque GC’s mission to represent Latin American golf on the world stage.
With the Aramco partnership, Michigan’s return as host, and a strengthened Latino presence across teams like Torque GC, the 2026 LIV Golf season is shaping up as a milestone year. La Prensa Latina News Wire will continue its coverage, highlighting Latino athletes, teams, and their growing impact on professional golf in Michigan and beyond.
