GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Playing in front of a home crowd at Van Andel Arena, the Grand Rapids Gold outlasted the College Park Skyhawks 132–128 in a fast-paced, offense-driven G League matchup.
Grand Rapids was led by Kessler Edwards (#20), who scored a team-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including four three-pointers. Curtis Jones (#1) added 25 points and six assists, consistently delivering in key moments as the Skyhawks pushed back. Terence Hargrove Jr. (#2) chipped in 18 points, knocking down four shots from beyond the arc, while Coleman Hawkins (#33) turned in a dominant all-around performance with 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists to record a triple-double and control the interior.
College Park received strong efforts from Basheer Jihad (#11), who finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds, and RayJ Dennis (#10), who poured in 26 points while dishing out 10 assists. The Skyhawks shot 51 percent from the field and an impressive 47 percent from three-point range, keeping the game tight throughout the second half.
Both teams traded runs late, but Grand Rapids’ balanced scoring, rebounding presence, and poise down the stretch proved decisive, allowing the Gold to defend home court with a hard-fought four-point victory.
