EAST LANSING — The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and Farmworker Student Services (FSS) at Michigan State University marked a powerful milestone with the successful hosting of the 42nd Annual Hispanic Symposium, an event centered on gratitude, education, and opportunity.

Thanks to generous community support, more than $135,000 was raised to continue advancing educational access and student success for individuals from farmworking communities. The funds will directly support scholarships, programming, and wraparound services that empower students to create positive change in their lives and beyond.

The symposium brought together students, families, educators, and supporters, capturing a spirit of appreciation and shared purpose. Photos from the event reflect moments of connection, celebration, and recognition of the collective effort that makes CAMP and FSS programs possible.

“This support strengthens our mission to advance education and empower students from farmworking communities,” said Elias Lopez, Interim Director of Farmworker Student Services. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s symposium such a success.”
