East Lansing Holds Off DeWitt in CAAC-Blue Road Win

DEWITT, MI (2-10-26) — East Lansing’s Sydney Black (#11) scored a game-high 22 points as the Trojans rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat DeWitt 42–34 in CAAC-Blue action.

DEWITT, MI (2-10-26) — In a Capital Area Activities Conference-Blue matchup, the East Lansing Trojans earned a 42–34 road victory over the DeWitt Panthers on Tuesday night.

DeWitt controlled the early tempo, holding a slim 6–5 lead after the first quarter and taking a 17–16 advantage into halftime. East Lansing responded coming out of the break, outscoring the Panthers in the third quarter to grab a 25–23 lead before closing strong in the final period to secure the eight-point win.

Sydney Black (#11) led all scorers with 22 points for the Trojans, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. She was supported by Olivia Adarkwa (#3), Nandi Gordon (#12), Naomi Knox (#14), and Nyah Wright, who each finished with five points.

For DeWitt, Sophia Bland (#14) paced the Panthers with 12 points, while Carly Dennis (#12) added 10. Jaynie English (#22) and Mia Popoff (#42) each chipped in six.

With the win, East Lansing improves to 14–4 overall and 8–2 in conference play. DeWitt falls to 13–4 on the season but remains tied in the CAAC-Blue standings at 8–2.
