EAST LANSING, MI (2-17-26)— No. 15 Michigan State responded in dominant fashion after its Big Ten loss to Wisconsin, rolling past UCLA 82-59 at the Breslin Center.

The Spartans were sharp from start to finish, shooting 53 percent from the field (29-of-55), 52 percent from three-point range (14-of-27), and an outstanding 91 percent from the free-throw line (10-of-11). Their offensive rhythm and defensive pressure overwhelmed the Bruins.

Coen Carr (#55) and Jeremy Fears Jr. (#1) led the way with 16 points each, with Fears adding 10 assists to anchor the offense. Carson Cooper (#15) added 12 points and went 8-of-9 from the stripe, while Jordan Scott (#6) chipped in 11 points, including three triples. Jaxon Kohler (#0) controlled the glass with 10 rebounds.

UCLA was paced by Tyler Bilodeau (#34), who scored a game-high 22 points. Former Spartan Xavier Booker (#1) was limited to 12 points in 25 minutes. The Bruins struggled offensively, finishing at 37 percent from the floor and 32 percent from beyond the arc.

Late in the contest, tensions flared when Carson Cooper absorbed a hard foul from UCLA’s Steven Jamerson II (#24), who was subsequently ejected by his own coach.

Michigan State outrebounded UCLA 37-27 and dished out 21 assists in the convincing victory. The 82-59 win provides momentum as the Spartans look to reestablish themselves in conference play.
