GRAND RAPIDS, MI (2-23-26) — The Grand Rapids Gold dropped a 109-97 contest Monday night to the visiting Osceola Magic at Van Andel Arena. With the win, Osceola improved to a G League-best 16-5, while the Gold fell to 7-16 on the season.

The Magic controlled the tempo for much of the night, leading for 85 percent of the game and stretching their advantage to as many as 18 points. Guard Lester Quinones (#24) led all scorers with 27 points, knocking down five three-pointers and finishing with a game-high +30 rating.

Osceola’s balanced attack proved decisive. Colin Castleton (#3) added 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while Alex Morales (#2) contributed 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The Magic converted 18 Gold turnovers into 20 points and added 19 fast-break points to keep pressure on the home team throughout.

For Grand Rapids, the starting five carried the load offensively. Dane Goodwin (#23) paced the Gold with 24 points and 10 rebounds, drilling six shots from beyond the arc in 46 minutes of action. Moses Brown (#34) recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, adding two blocks and three steals in the paint.

Curtis Jones (#1) chipped in 19 points and seven assists, while Ben Coupet Jr. (#15) finished with 13 points. The Gold shot an efficient 46 percent from the field and outrebounded Osceola 48-43, including 16 offensive boards. However, defensive lapses and transition opportunities for the Magic proved costly.

Grand Rapids trimmed the deficit to single digits late, but Osceola’s poise and perimeter shooting sealed the outcome down the stretch.

The Gold now head out on the road before returning to Van Andel Arena on March 3, when they host the Capital City Go-Go in a key Eastern Conference matchup.
