Shamrocks Roll into State Finals with Dominant Semifinal Win

EAST LANSING, MI (3-19-26) — Portland St. Patrick defeats Onekama 49-26 in the MHSAA Division 4 Girls Basketball Semifinal to advance to the state championship game at the Breslin Center.

EAST LANSING, MI (3-19-26) — The Portland St. Patrick Shamrocks delivered a commanding performance in the MHSAA Division 4 Girls Basketball Semifinal, defeating the Onekama Portagers 49-26 to punch their ticket to the state championship game.

From the opening tip, the Shamrocks set the tone with disciplined defense and efficient offense, steadily building a lead that the Portagers could not overcome. Portland St. Patrick controlled the pace throughout, limiting scoring opportunities while capitalizing on key possessions on the offensive end.

The victory secures the Shamrocks a spot in the Division 4 State Championship, where they will face the Ishpeming Hematites on Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University.

With momentum on their side and a dominant semifinal performance behind them, the Shamrocks now turn their focus to capturing a state title on one of Michigan’s biggest high school basketball stages.
