ANN ARBOR, MI (3-22-26) โ€” The No. 6 Michigan Wolverines delivered a dominant performance in the second round of the NCAA Womenโ€™s Basketball Tournament, overwhelming the NC State Wolfpack 92-63 Sunday afternoon at Crisler Center. With the win, Michigan advances to face the winner of Mondayโ€™s matchup between Louisville and Alabama in Fort Worth.

Michigan set the tone early and never looked back, using a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense to control all four quarters. The Wolverines shot an efficient 45% from the field (35-78) and knocked down 10 three-pointers, while also dominating the glass with a 40-30 rebounding advantage.

Leading the charge was Olivia Olson (#1), who poured in a game-high 27 points on 9-of-19 shooting, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Syla Swords (#12) added 26 points, connecting on four three-pointers, while Mila Holloway (#3) contributed 13 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in an all-around performance.

The Wolverinesโ€™ depth also made an impact, with contributions across the roster, including seven points and five rebounds off the bench. Michiganโ€™s ball movement was sharp, tallying 22 assists on 35 made field goals, showcasing their offensive rhythm.

Defensively, Michigan forced 22 turnovers and limited NC State to just 45% shooting and 31% from three-point range. The Wolfpack were led by Zoe Jones (#3) with 16 points and nine assists, while K. Pierre (#12) added 15 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

By halftime, Michigan had built a commanding lead and continued to extend it in the second half, never allowing NC State to mount a serious comeback.

With the victory, Michigan continues its strong postseason run under head coach Kim Barnes Arico, positioning itself for a deep push in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines now turn their attention to Fort Worth, where they will face either Louisville or Alabama with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.
