DETROIT, MI (5-30-26) — The streets of downtown Detroit came alive Saturday as the 2026 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear entered a pivotal day of action featuring NTT INDYCAR SERIES qualifying, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition, and INDY NXT by Firestone sessions. Thousands of fans lined the 1.645-mile downtown street circuit to witness some of the world’s best drivers battle for position ahead of Sunday’s main event.

Saturday’s schedule featured INDY NXT practice and qualifying, NTT INDYCAR SERIES practice and qualifying sessions, and the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic, providing a full day of high-speed action throughout Detroit’s riverfront district.  

The Detroit Grand Prix has become one of the premier motorsports events in North America, showcasing Detroit’s automotive heritage while transforming the city’s downtown streets into a world-class racing venue.
