DETROIT, MI (7-30-26) – Detroit residents are invited to celebrate art, music and community during the Summer Fridays Arts and Culture Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Clark Park.

The event will feature sneaker-design activities, live mural painting, family portraits, arts and crafts, live DJ sets, performances and other cultural activities. The evening is part of Mayor Mary Sheffield’s “Occupy the Summer” initiative, which provides engaging summer experiences for Detroit residents and families.

Arts and Culture Night will give attendees an opportunity to explore their creativity, enjoy live entertainment and connect with members of the community in one of southwest Detroit’s best-known public spaces.

Participating organizations listed for the event include the Detroit Cultural Center Association, Motown Museum, Motor City Street Dance Academy, PLC Detroit, The Pose Experience and All for You.

The celebration will be held at Clark Park, 1130 Clark Ave., Detroit, MI 48209. Activities are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m.
