DETROIT, MI (4/12/26) — The Detroit Tigers turned in a complete performance over the weekend, sweeping the Miami Marlins in a three-game set at Comerica Park behind strong starting pitching and clutch hitting.


Friday, April 10 — Tigers 2, Marlins 0

Detroit opened the series with a 2-0 shutout victory, led by Keider Montero #54—, who was dominant in his start. Montero tossed 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out seven to earn the win.

The Tigers’ offense capitalized on key moments:

  • Javier Báez #28 launched a solo home run in the 5th inning
  • Spencer Torkelson #20 drove in the second run
