SOUTH BEND, IN — The Florida State Seminoles made just enough plays down the stretch to hold off the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, securing an 82–79 road victory in a tightly contested matchup.

Chauncey Wiggins (#7) led all scorers with a game-high 22 points for the Seminoles, knocking down five three-pointers and providing a steady offensive spark throughout the night. Florida State relied heavily on perimeter shooting, finishing 15-of-37 from beyond the arc, while converting 17-of-22 attempts at the free-throw line to preserve the win.

Robert McCray V (#6) added 15 points, while Lajae Jones (#10) chipped in 11 points and Alex Steen (#25) contributed 10 points and nine rebounds, giving Florida State valuable balance on both ends of the floor. Off the bench, AJ Swinton (#19) provided timely scoring with eight points, while Martin Somerville (#1) added seven points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Notre Dame stayed within striking distance behind a strong effort from Braeden Shrewsberry (#11), who finished with 18 points, including four three-pointers. Jalen Haralson (#10) added 15 points, while Cole Certa (#5) knocked down four triples on his way to 14 points.

The Fighting Irish out-rebounded Florida State 47–37, turned the ball over 12 times and struggled from the free-throw line, shooting just 63 percent, and were unable to get a key stop in the final moments.

Florida State shot 38 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range, making the difference in a game that featured multiple lead changes and a late Notre Dame push that ultimately fell short.
